(Pre)-registration
is possible from January 1 to February 28, 2026.
You may access here the registration page.
The conference is meant to be inter-disciplinary; it has however to be expected that most talks will be devoted to topics which were central in all previous “proper SPT” meetings. As this is also meant to be the last conference in the series, we suggest to focus on open problems rather than on achieved results.
Practical
infos:
The
conference will take place in Tarquinia (near Rome);
it
will be held in the city library, hosted in Palazzo Bruschi Falgari
(via Umberto I, 34).
Participants
can lodge wherever they like; we have however secured some special
discounted rates in "Hotel
Camere del Re".
These are meant for participants (and
accompanying persons) staying for the whole conference period; the
Hotel may apply regular rates to those intending to stay for a
shorter time, or decline reservations for a shorter period.
Tarquinia is conveniently reached by train from Rome (central "Termini" train station or Airport train station - in the latter case you don't need to reach Termini station), with a train running every hour and taking about one hour. You will need a bus (or taxi) from Tarquinia train station to the old city center, where conference will take place and most hotels or B&B are located. You may also choose to lodge in "Tarquinia Lido" (at the beach), albeit this will require some traveling back and forth (e.g. by bus) to reach the conference venue.
There will be no common organization for meals, albeit we may have a social dinner one of the last days of the meeting.
A conference fee will be levied; this is expected to be in the very low range, with discount for some categories.
Note that Sunday 17 May is arrival day, Saturday 23 May is departure day. The actual conference will take place from monday morning to friday late afternoon. The traditional welcome party will take place on sunday before dinner.
Conference schedule will be subject to the library's schedule; a strict limit to the number of talks will be in force.
There might be a bus from Fiumicino airport on Sunday and to Fiumicino on Saturday if sufficient request arise (see registration form).
